Strawberry Pie
- 2 baskets strawberries
- 1 cup sugar1
- 3 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Red food coloring
- ¾ cup water
Mash I cup berries.
Add water, cornstarch, and sugar
Cook until thickened; cool slightly;
Add lemon juice and desired amount of food coloring.
Put remaining whole berries in baked 9” pie shell and pour mixture over berries when cool.
Refrigerate and serve with lots of whipped cream.
