Tollhouse Cookies

3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 1/4 cups flour
1 pkg 12 ounce of semi-sweet chocolate chips
nuts (if desired)

Combine butter, sugars, eggs, & vanilla.
Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed mixture.
Add chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
Place dough on cookie sheet (ungreased).
Bake at 375° for 9-12 minutes
Makes 5 dozen.
